Most people probably don't come to the point in their life where they decide they need to make judgments on pens and pencils. I do. Why? Probably because I lose so many pencils that I need to constantly buy more and I get so many pens from career fairs and the like at WPI.
The Best Pen at the career fair usually ends up being from the notorious Texas Instruments. I was thinking as I double-clicked my Intel pen, however, that perhaps we were not judging the pens correctly... Sure, the TI pen made a terrific lava lamp this year and Foster-Miller came in close second with it's multi-colored flashlight-featuring pen.
But I don't typically write with them. I take them out to show off to people or when all other writing impliments fail or when I am just choosing randomly... They're way too chunky for everyday writing.
Little coolness is great but when it overcomes the pen. It's just not a pen anymore. BBN Tech made one with a maze in it. Not chunky or anything...but...cheapo! Geeze, a maze pen, how typical is that?
Maybe...if only they could make the lava lamp pen half as thick and twice as inky...perfection!!
[and you thought i might be conservative]
