Nothing quite the smell of new electronics

If one is not familiar with that delightful happy smell that is carried with new electronics then there is something missing in your life. Hopefully everyone is aquainted with that new gameboy-just-out-of-the-box smell. It's the same as the freshly unpacked ipod or perfectly packed un-packed external hard drive...

Well, today I received one of the new LCD screens (No more CRTs!) ordered followed by that (300GB) external hard drive I mentioned. Not to mention a new comp to replace the one in the kitchen (Mr. Tea, Tea for short). And although I forgot that it was ordered, a delightful new wireless keyboard and mouse.

None of this, of course, is anything like a daily event. Luckily, it was a sort of grant my mom got in connection to computer equipment via my brother Philip (thoroughly autistic). What will probably happen is that we'll move the actual Tea into Philip's room and completely wipe it and set it up with Philip-only games so we won't have him tearing apart the gamecube or the playstation.

Needless to say, Philip won't be the only one enjoying the alterations. One LCD screen that has yet to arrive will go to Guts, my computer, who is, unfortunatly, quite sick right now. The external hard drive will go to work for him as well.

Pretty much, Guts is seizuring (stop errors) and is overweight (dun even have 1 GB left on him). Tea is deaf (dead sound card) but is alright otherwise.

the CRT that Tea was using used to be that of our first computer, Dr. Insane. Who was around ever since i can remember. He died cause I tried to vaccum him out and somehow that cut off the color red or something and we couldn't use him anymore. Dr. Sane preceeded him but didnt last long...

A poem was written about all 4 of our present/past computers...one part of it goes...

Dr. Insane, to a vaccuum, lost a fight
and hence lost his sight
and was proceeded to be pronounced dead
and stuffed under the bed

I know it's kinda retarded...but uh...that's why I didn't show you the rest now isn't it?
